The game began with the U12A dominating possession and taking a comfortable 2-0 lead into half-time, thanks to well-executed goals that showcased their attacking quality.

However, the second half saw a dramatic shift as Belmont came out strong, leveling the score at 2-2. The U12A team, momentarily caught off guard, regrouped and showed resilience. With determination, they regained control, and their attacking play paid off with three more goals in quick succession, sealing a 5-2 victory.

The standout moments of the match were the composure shown after conceding the equalizer, and the clinical finishing that ultimately made the difference. The U12A’s ability to bounce back from a tense moment demonstrated their character and teamwork. It was a fantastic all-round performance. The man of the match could’ve gone to any of the back 3, but in the end after scoring 4 goals, Rocco G took the award.

Year 4 Cross-Country

This week our Year 4 boys enjoyed the spring sunshine during their Games lesson by taking part in a cross-country around Willsfield and the surrounding fields.  The Beacon is lucky to be surrounded by beautiful countryside and it was a great opportunity for our boys to dust off their running shoes.  Well done, boys!

U8D1 vs Berkhamsted

The U8D1 team wrapped up their  football season with two hard-fought matches in the glorious sunshine. The team showcased their determination and skill, earning a 2-2 draw in the first game and a 0-0 draw in the second. While they were unlucky not to come away with victories, they can be proud of their performance.

In the opening match, the boys came out strong, dominating possession and applying constant pressure on their opponents. Their efforts were rewarded with two well-taken goals. Despite some defending from the opposition, the team kept pushing until the final whistle, earning a well-deserved draw.

The second match saw another outstanding display of teamwork and determination. The boys controlled much of the game, stringing together excellent passes and creating multiple scoring opportunities. However, the opposing goalkeeper proved difficult to beat, and the match concluded in a goalless draw.

It was evident just how much the team has grown since the start of the season. Their confidence on the ball, understanding of the game, and unwavering team spirit were on full display. Every player contributed, showing their passion for the sport.

Well done to all involved.
