Wrap-Around Care & Clubs

Breakfast Club from 07:30 to 08:00, offering a choice of continental or cooked breakfast (a small fee per breakfast is incurred and added to your term’s invoice).

Early Boys from 08:00 to registration. The boys will head to their classroom on arrival and complete indoor activities such as quiet reading and drawing. There is no need to book this service.

After School

The Pre-Prep day ends at 15:00 for Nursery and Reception, and 15:15 for Year 1 and Year 2. The following options are available for boys wishing to stay at school:

• Boys can enjoy our Late Stay Programme until 16:30. This takes place in our Early Years buildings; Oakway and Winterbourn, so the boys can play outside and indoor activities freely. There is no charge for boys staying until 16:30, provided they are booked in.
• The Late Stay Programme operates until 18:00 but there is a small fee incurred after 16:30 for Pre-Prep boys. Late Stay can be booked through the SOCS Co-Curricular Portal, which can be accessed via the Parent Portal.

Our After-School Care programme also includes a range of After-School Clubs for Year 1 & 2 Pre-Prep boys that can provide additional opportunities, such as multi-sports, Tennis, Music and Chess. A list of Clubs are available to view and book on the Parent Portal.

After School

The Lower School day ends at 15:45. There are then three options for boys wishing to stay at school:

• Boys can enjoy one of our After-School Clubs, such as athletics, Lego Robotics or Drama. Most Lower School clubs finish at 16:45.
• Prep Club is split into two sessions and boys are expected to stay for the whole session or sessions that they are booked in to. Session one runs between 15:45 to 16:15; and session two between 16:15 to 16:45. These are free sessions for boys booked into Prep Club for the term.
• Late Stay Programme from 16:45 to 18:00. The boys enjoy various activities during Late Stay. There is no charge for boys staying until 18:00 provided they have been booked into Prep and Late Stay.

The Middle School day ends at 16:15. There are then three options for boys wishing to stay at school:

• Prep Club, which runs between 16:15 to 16:45. This is a free session for boys pre-booked into Prep.
• Boys can then enjoy one of our After-School Clubs, such as hockey, wood carving or Warhammer. Most Middle School clubs start at 17:00 and finish at 18:00.
• Late Stay Programme from 16:45 to 18:00. The boys enjoy various activities during Late Stay. There is no charge for boys staying until 18:00 provided they have been booked into Prep and Late Stay.

The Upper School day ends at 16:45 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (16:30 on a Wednesday). There are then two options for boys wishing to stay at School:

• Boys can enjoy one of our After-School Clubs, such as football, fine metal Art club or Lego Robotics. Most Upper School clubs start at 17:00 and finish at 18:00. Boys staying on for clubs will go to tea until 17:00.
• Late Stay Programme from 16:30 to 18:00. The boys enjoy various activities during Late Stay. There is no charge for boys staying until 18:00 provided they have been booked into Prep and Late Stay.
