ISI Inspection Report

ISI Logo

As a member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS), The Beacon is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), rather than OFSTED.

ISI is an independent inspectorate, appointed by the Department for Education to inspect association independent schools in England. ISI inspection reports inform the Department for Education on the extent to which the statutory Independent School Standards are met.

Our most recent ISI Inspection Report was published in 2025, successfully meeting standards across all categories.

“Pupils are happy, articulate individuals who are proud of their school.”
“Pupils have excellent self-knowledge, self-confidence, and self-belief.”

The Good Schools Guide

Thank you to the number one UK trusted school guide for a shining unbiased review.
“The Beacon is a dynamic, busy and above all, happy place. It’s a big school that thinks big and while the head and governors have ambitious plans for the future, these are firmly founded upon the school’s existing core strengths and values”
