We were thrilled to welcome our Beacon parents and grandparents back on site over the last few weeks – it has been truly wonderful to see boys with their parents exploring the school grounds and enjoying various activities.
We hosted a ‘Stay and Play’ session where the parents of our Little Beacon boys were invited to discover more about life in Nursery and to enjoy exploring the facilities with their sons – our Little Beacons were really enthusiastic sharing their classroom and play area with family.
Our Pre-Prep boys enjoyed ‘Look at a Book’ events, which provided a lovely opportunity to showcase the boys’ achievements and efforts this term. Parents thoroughly enjoyed looking at the work that the boys have been doing and meeting their fellow peers.
In our Lower, Middle and Upper School, we hosted ‘Open House Events’, whereby parents were invited to school to find out more about the projects and topics our boys have been working on. It was also a great opportunity for them to chat with Beacon staff, and to have a personal tour of the school by their sons! It was fantastic to see so many parents attend.
“I am delighted that we can host these events as part of ‘opening up’ The Beacon again, in a careful way”, says Mr Detre. “It has been great to see parents back on site and boys taking great pride in their school!”
It has been marvellous to bring our Beacon Community back together again, and as you can see from the gallery below, it is has been an enjoyable experience for both our boys and parents! Thank you to all our Beacon families who came in to support these events.
