We were delighted this week to see that a wonderful feature written on The Power of Storytelling by our Head of Pre-Prep, Ryan Steward, had been published in the current issue of the popular Families magazine.
As a whole school, The Beacon is passionately committed to the value of oral storytelling due to the huge number of benefits for all children, such as building key literacy skills, improving attention skills and promoting confidence, wellbeing and relaxation. Ryan’s feature clearly explains the many values of oral storytelling, describes the successes we have seen with this method at The Beacon and gives step-by-step tips on how to incorporate oral storytelling into your time with your child at home.
