14 February 2020
On Friday 14 February, all boys and staff dressed in tree colours to fundraise for our Beacon tree planting initiative. This will form part of our sustainably focus for the boys and show ways in which we can offset our carbon footprint as well as reduce it. Each year group will have a tree planted on Willsfield and planting will commence the week of 16 March.
We had a whole host of woodland colours and creatures arriving at School this morning, as well as a fair amount of camouflage, the odd shrub and one or two trees. Thankfully, no lumberjacks! Well done to all the Beacon boys and teachers for helping to make this possible. We are lucky to have so many creative boys and staff who made it a fun day for all.
Thank you to all those who donated – we have so far raised £930.71! Final tree varieties will be selected and announced after half term, and extra funds will be donated to Tree Aid.
