Lucy Hawking Author Visit – Out of this World

It was a real privilege to welcome Lucy Hawking to The Beacon for an evening event this week which was open to the community courtesy of our partnership with Chorleywood Bookshop. Lucy proved an excellent communicator with her informative and entertaining guide to the universe, covering subjects ranging from space travel to robots. The audience of 250+ were engaged and receptive; it was lovely to see everyone from grandparents to Pre-Prep boys learning something new, participating fully and going away feeling inspired.
